Besides one of the coolest hip-hop lineups, Compton is packed with urban gems. Even Kendrick Lamar used to skate the in the same streets! Wilson Park – A True Community Hub!
Wilson Park is located in the heart of Compton. This green scenery is home to one of the coolest skateparks in Compton! The skatepark is equipped with multiple bowls, stairs, ramps and rails! It is free and open 7 days a week. Skaters of all ages and levels explore the Wilson concrete! There are plenty of facilities in the park to check out when you’re done skating. There are multiple basketball courts, a gym and even outdoor fitness equipment! But most importantly, don’t forget to bring your skateboard gear ;).
Lynwood Skatepark
Lynwood Skatepark is just on the border of Compton. It is located near Lynwood Park and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. This park is surrounded by a fence to ensure safety. It has everything a skater needs! From stairs, ledges and ramps to the sickest bowls. It is very beginner friendly and has been around for years. There are a lot of local skaters that have come to Lynwood for over a decade. This makes it a true local community that puts a lot of effort in the park. You can also find some local street art in and near the park. Graffiti is used to decorate the park by the locals. This makes it one of the most colorful spots in the area! Paramount Skatepark
This compact skatepark is located just in Paramount just outside of Compton! It is a favorite of the local skate community. The park is designed for skaters and inline skating only! You won’t have to share any of the concrete with other disciplines 😉. This makes for a great vibe where skaters are truly community oriented! The park has a great flow with obstacles that align perfectly. The bowl is a quite challenging ride that pushes creative options. Besides this challenging bowl, there are multiple beginner friendly obstacles to explore. Here you can easily learn how to skateboard! The park is really clean and well maintained. This makes safely exploring new tricks super easy.
